We are now looking for a project-leading designer for a one-year temporary position during a parental leave for our client. The role focuses on drawing work and customized solutions in project form. You will be part of our client's design team and work closely with both technology and other functions in the business. Does this sound like something for you? Welcome to submit your application!

About the role

We are now seeking an experienced designer for a 1-year temporary position to cover for parental leave. The role includes both technical responsibility and project management, where you drive customer projects from inquiry to delivery-ready solution.

You will:

  • Independently drive design projects, with responsibility for schedule, quality, and technical content
  • Project manage and support other designers in ongoing assignments
  • Maintain close contacts with sales, order/administration, and production to ensure feasible and cost-effective solutions
  • Develop customized solutions based on specifications and real applications at the customer's site
  • Work daily in CAD, preferably SolidWorks, with everything from concepts to finished drawing documents and BOM
  • Provide technical support internally and when needed in customer dialogues, for example in complex applications or special adaptations

About you

We are looking for a senior person who can and wants to take overall responsibility. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where you sometimes have to make decisions with incomplete information, and where collaboration with others is crucial for success.

We believe that you:

  • Have at least 5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably from product or machine manufacturing industry
  • Have very good knowledge of 3D-CAD, preferably SolidWorks
  • Have a good understanding of mechanics, material selection, and manufacturing technology (e.g., welding, bending, cutting, machining)
  • Are used to working project-oriented and can plan, prioritize, and manage multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Have excellent communication skills and are comfortable in dialogue with both technical and commercial roles
  • Speak and write fluent Swedish and English

It is a merit if you:

  • Have experience in electrical, control, or mechatronics
  • Have worked with vacuum or pneumatic equipment
  • Have experience with customized solutions rather than just standard products
